Saudi engineers participate in Japanese training program

The Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, in cooperation with Japanese governmental organizations, namely SME Support Japan (SMRJ), JIPM and JCCME, recently held a training program for Saudi engineers in manufacturing companies at the MODON Industrial City in Jeddah.
The program included courses in production efficiency management (Nov. 12-16) and quality control development (Nov. 19-23).
These kind of Japanese training programs for young Saudi engineers have been successfully organized for the past three years in Dammam and Riyadh. This year, the course aimed at developing the private sector and strengthening the Kingdom’s SMEs by Saudi-Japan joint efforts, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
More than 50 Saudi engineers from about 25 companies attended this year’s training program and were awarded certificates upon completion of the course.
Participants acquired important technical skills and knowledge, which will help to raise the level of competitiveness in their respective companies.
