Daily Pakistan report by Daud Rehman from Lahore states that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has formally announced the arrest of Imran — the 24-year-old resident of Kasur who raped and murdered the 7-year-old Zainab, in recent days. Shahbaz Sharif made this announced at a press conference in Lahore. On this occasion, he was flanked by the victim Zainab’s father and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.

September 3: The Diplomat report by Ankit Panda states that Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, speaking on Monday, caused a bit of a stir with comments that were initially reported as a pledge by Islamabad to not use its nuclear weapons first in any conflict with India.
