RIYADH: The Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity and Programming signed a memorandum of understanding with cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab to further strengthen infrastructure security.
The MoU aims to establish cooperation in cybersecurity, programming, relevant services, comprehensive counseling and technical training. It also aims to enhance participation in organizing general competitions, events, and activities relevant to those fields.
The MoU is also designed to provide training materials and a curriculum related to cybersecurity and programming, to facilitate a training lab and a suitable environment for developing local talent.
Saud Al-Qahtani, chairman of SAFCSP, said: “This MoU with Kaspersky Lab will play a role in meeting the federation’s technical needs as well as strengthening its IT infrastructure.” SPA, Riyadh
Amir Kanaan, managing director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Kaspersky Lab, said: “Our goal is to continue spreading cyber awareness among nations, and through this MoU we can extend our global knowledge and expertise to the SAFCSP, which has been doing a phenomenal job in building cyber capabilities in Saudi Arabia.”
