November 27 – The Express Tribune states that Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal has said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be extended an invitation to attend the upcoming South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) conference in Pakistan. “The incumbent government after assuming power immediately tried to normalise relations with India. Despite negative signals, Pakistan has continued peace efforts and initiative,” Dr Faisal said on Tuesday while addressing a conference on Kashmir in Islamabad.
