Saudi Arabia pays $60 million to support Palestinian Authority’s budget

  • The money represented Saudi Arabia’s monthly contributions to the PA’s budget for November and December 2018, and January 2019

JEDDAH: The Saudi Fund for Development deposited $60 million into the account of the Palestinian Finance Ministry, the Saudi ambassador to Egypt, Osama Nugali, announced on Wednesday.
Nugali, who is also the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States, said that the money represented Saudi Arabia’s monthly contributions to the PA’s budget for November and December 2018, and January 2019.
He added that it came within the framework of Saudi Arabia’s permanent support for the Palestinian cause at all political, economic and humanitarian levels.

Saudi Arabia announces 17 more COVID-19 deaths

  • The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom has increased to 345,622
  • A total of 5,857 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far

LONDON: Saudi Arabia announced 17 deaths from COVID-19 and 302 new infections on Friday.
Of the new cases, 70 were recorded in Riyadh, 28 in Jeddah, 18 in Yanbu, 17 in Madinah, 14 in Dhahran, 14 in Makkah and 8 in Dammam.
The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 345,622 after 407 more patients recovered from the virus.
A total of 5,857 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.
