Saudi Laboratory and Diagnostics Congress in Jeddah

The Saudi Laboratory and Diagnostics Congress 2019 will be held Oct. 13 to 15th at Le Meridien, Jeddah. The event will gather experts in the field of clinical laboratory and diagnostics to discuss the latest advancements and international guidelines regarding key issues in the sector, automation and technology, efficiency and quality, patient safety and much more. 

Professor Khalid Al-Harbi, chairman of the conference and the Saudi Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (SSCLS), said: “The Saudi Laboratory and Diagnostics Congress is a prominent event dedicated to increasing awareness and education for the lab community in the Kingdom as well as providing an update on the latest technologies and methods in the industry as per Vision 2030.”

Speakers from the Ministry of Health, National Guard, and government and private hospitals will share their expertise with the audience at specialized workshops, he added.

The event will see the SSCLS and Saudi Society for Clinical Chemistry as strategic partners and will be sponsored by organizations such as AMPC, Salehiya Trading Company, and Neuberg Diagnostics. 

“The diagnostics sector has a great opportunity to place itself at the center of health care delivery; by discussing how to overcome the key challenges and sharing best practices between countries, the diagnostics sector will be able to bring in significant improvements to the health care sector as a whole,” said Waleed Rafaay, COO of Maarefah Management, which is organizing the event.

The event packages also differ depending on the length of stay. Festival goers can either opt for a one-day weekend package or extended stay, depending on the number of concerts and activities they would like to experience at Winter at Tantora.
