Ibero-American Film Festival 

The Ibero-American Film Festival in Beirut, which runs until Oct. 20, is screening selection of Spanish and Portuguese-language feature films with English subtitles.

 

 

  • ‘Calzones Rotos’

    When? Oct. 16 A woman makes a deathbed cofession about the murder of her husband 40 years ago in this shocking tale.

  • ‘Mamá’

    When? Oct. 17 The film tells the story of a grandmother who, despite being an independent woman, takes care of her granddaughter after a crsis. 

  • ‘Bacurau’

    When? Oct. 18 This film won the Jury Prize at 2019 Cannes Film Festival and tells the story of a small town that will vanish in the near future.

  • ‘Cuba Libre’  

    When? Oct. 19 The film, produced in Cuba, is about two kids who will experience firsthand the defeat of the Spanish Army in their country.

  • ‘Selkik’

    When? Oct. 19 Selkirk is an unruly, selfish pirate who discovers a new outlook on the world and learns to survive alone in this animated adventure.

  • ‘No sé decir adiós’

    When? Oct. 20 “Can’t Say Goodbye” is about a daughter who discovers her father, whom she has not spoken with for a long time, has just a few months to live.
