What’s going on at Dubai Design Week

The fifth edition of Dubai Design Week kicks off next week from Nov. 12-16. Here’s what we’re looking forward to from the event.

  • Abwab

    The theme of this year’s Abwab exhibition is “ways of learning” and it will feature works from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and India.

  • Global Grad Show

    Visitors can expect to see impressive graduate projects from more than 100 universities from all over the world in the fields of design, science, technology and engineering.

  • Downtown Design

    This year’s edition of the region’s leading design trade fair will be its most varied to date, with 30 participating countries and 100 new brands.

  • In Conversation with Christian Louboutin

    Dubai Design Week will feature a series of talks with prominent design figures, including famed footwear designer Christian Louboutin who will sit down with guests on Nov. 13.

  • Exhibition: Phantom Limb

    Hosted by Art Jameel, this exhibition brings together 13 artists and collectives to showcase their works that explore our relationship with material heritage.

  • Installation: From the Heart

    Spanish company ROCA commissioned artists from the Saeta Estudi firm to dream up a beating human heart made up of 3248 pieces of its porcelain sanitary ware.
