Saudi Health Ministry launches awareness platform

RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Health has launched an official Twitter account to help raise awareness and provide information on health matters.
The platform, which offers advice and tips covering a range of health topics, is part of the ministry’s drive to promote healthy lifestyle choices and maintain the safety and health of all members of society.

Last year, the ministry won the innovative team award for project management, as part of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Dubai.
The ministry team has established an institutional project management office, in accordance with internationally recognized best practices, designed to fit work requirements at the Ministry of Health.
This system is characterized by a strong base that enables the effective management and follow-up of projects and initiatives, linking 20 regional administrations in all regions of the Kingdom, with the main center in Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia announces 14 more deaths from COVID-19

  • 739 were recorded in Riyadh, 325 in Jeddah and 162 in Makkah

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced 14 more deaths from COVID-19 and 1,815 new cases of the disease on Wednesday. 

Of the new cases, 739 were recorded in Riyadh, 325 in Jeddah, 162 in Makkah, 118 in Hufof and 74 in Dammam. 

The health ministry also announced that 2,572 more patients had recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the total number of people who have recovered in the Kingdom to 51,022.

A total of 425 people have died from COVID-19 in the Kingdom so far.
