The underground Arab producers making waves
Nawar Al-Rufaie is an Iraqi-Canadian producer who describes his sound as “bittersweet beats” and has worked with artists such as Mashrou’Leila, Narcy and Talib Kweli to name a few.
The Sudanese “audio painter” gained recognition after he was invited to Berlin to perform on cult music platform ColorsxStudios in July 2019.

The Khobar-based producer Saud Al-Turki, who is known for fusing Arabic Tarab music with hip hop, has been making music since 2010.
Hailing from Abu Dhabi, the music producer has gained a following for remixing popular hip hop tracks by Travis Scott and Dababy to the beat of classic Arabic songs from Fairouz and Umm Kulthum.
