DUBAI: The lockdown in Oman is to be extended to some areas of the Al-Sharqiyah governorate, as part of the country’s efforts to contain the coronavirus spread, national daily Times of Oman reported.
The new lockdown comes into force at 4p.m. on Thursday, impacting all residents of Jalan Bani Bu Ali, where the commercial market area near the state hospital is isolated.
There have been 109 people tested positive today for coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,019.
