DUBAI: US hit-makers Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Post Malone lead the nominations for the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, organizers revealed this week.
All three artists are competing for the Top Artist award, along with Jonas Brothers and Khalid.
If Eilish wins the best new artist award, she will become the first female artist to win in that category since singer Lorde in 2014.
The “Ocean Eyes” singer could also be the first female artist to win a top Hot 100 song award since Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” in 2015.
“Circles” singer Post Malone has been nominated for 15 other awards.
The event, which will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson, is set to take place on Oct. 14. It was postponed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
