'Cat walk' draws smiles at Cairo Film Festival red carpet

CAIRO: In a sweet surprise, a cat walked down the red carpet of the Cairo Film Festival, stealing the show over the weekend.
The feisty feline surprised attendees who were waiting for the screening of “Ammar”, a film by director Mahmoud Kamel showing for the first time during the festival’s fourth night.
Pictures circulated on Facebook showed the cat clawing its way into the screening surprisingly, and everyone was keen to pet it.
The 42nd Edition of the CIFF kicked off on Wednesday with more than 200 artists and guests from different parts of the world, and the participation of 84 films. It will run until Dec. 10.
