  • The support amounted to SR20 million ($5.3 million) through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center

JEDDAH: The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Djibouti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dya-Eddine Said Bamakhrama thanked Saudi Arabia for its support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation initiative to provide COVID-19 vaccines for the 22 least developed member states.
The support amounted to SR20 million ($5.3 million) through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. Bamakhrama pointed out that this step by the Kingdom is not unprecedented and is a part of its great humanitarian works around the world.
Saudi Arabia and Djibouti enjoy brotherly relations. In August, the center inaugurated a food baskets distribution project in Djibouti.
The center, in cooperation with the Djibouti Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity, also distributed 615 food baskets, benefiting 3,690 individuals.
The project aims to distribute 4,519 food baskets to needy families, benefiting more than 27,000 individuals.
