France 24 is a French state-owned international news TV network based in Paris. Broadcast in four languages — French, English, Arabic and Spanish — France 24 launched in 2006 with the aim to broadcast to overseas markets. In 2007, France 24 began airing programs in Arabic for viewers in the Maghreb, North Africa and the Middle East. In 2010, France 24 launched its Internet-based services with live streaming services available on YouTube, mobile devices and other streaming platforms. In the same year, France 24 announced that its Arabic service would broadcast 24 hours a day.
