Emirates, or Emirates Airlines, is the largest airline, and one of the two flag carriers, in the UAE. Based in Garhoud, Dubai, the airline is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is owned by the government of Dubai’s Investment Corp. of Dubai.

Emirates is also the largest airline in the Middle East, and the world’s fourth largest airline by scheduled revenue passenger-kilometers flown. The airline flies to more than 150 cities in 80 countries across six continents through its fleet of nearly 300 aircraft.

Founded in 1985, Emirates operated over 3,600 flights per week from its hub at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emirates is also the sponsor of many brands, mainly in the sports industry. Emirates sponsors various cricket clubs and tournaments, rugby teams in South Africa and England, and most notably sponsored FIFA and the FIFA World Cup until 2015.

Since 2015, Jennifer Aniston has starred in two commercials for the company.
