JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia is leading the world in the desalination sector, as the government is focusing more on innovation, said Mansour Al-Mushaiti, deputy minister of environment, water and agriculture.
While speaking at the Innovation-Driven Desalination conference in Jeddah, he revealed that the ministry has plans to launch entrepreneurship programs aimed at accelerating the establishment of new startups in the water industry.
The deputy minister said that innovation is about solving problems, and it has made nothing impossible in these modern days.
He also added that the ministry is giving full support to Saudi youth to develop their unique ideas of water solutions.
