TAIF, 17 April — Sources at the Taif’s Tourism Promotion Council project 1.5 million tourists in the flow of tourists to Hada, a region blessed with cool scenic beauty perching above 2000 meters above the sea level among the Taif mountains.
The government decision to issue tourist visa to foreigners is another factor, which will lead to the unprecedented increase in the number of tourists in general.
The launch of several tourist projects such as the Bahadur Plaza will provide quality services to the tourists to Hada with extra residential, shopping and recreational facilities.
Hada particularly attracts tourists from Gulf countries.
Khalil Bahadur, who runs the White Place chain of hotels in Makkah, says that the SR60 million Bahadur Plaza, which sprawls over an area of 50,000 square meters, will be commissioned in this June to become one of Hada’s landmarks.
The project comprises a five star hotel built in the latest style with most modern amenities. Each floor comprises 20 prince suits and 20 ordinary suits apart from two king suits. The top floor of the hotel nests eight king villas and a luxurious wedding hall.
The project also consists of 17 independent villas in addition to a large commercial shopping center covering an area of 3,000 square meters.
The facility will also offer a number of restaurants offering Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Lebanese, continental foods apart from Saudi dishes. International fastfood outlets such Pizza Hut, Kentucky and MacDonald will also be present here.
The project wants to guarantee that nothing will be wanting in terms of comfort and amusement in Hada, said Bahadur. Therefore the project includes a theater, several swimming pools, playgrounds for children and adults with special arrangements for women, he added.
Branches of major banks and a supermarket to cater for the needs of the visitors and vacationers will also be present at the place.
The project will add to the tourist attraction to Taif in general and Hada in particular. Hada is also expected to attract a major chunk of Kingdom’s tourism industry.
