Sultan donates SR10m to Al-Azhar

CAIRO, 10 April — Rector of Al-Azhar University Ahmad Hashim has announced that Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, donated a sum of 10 million Egyptian pounds (about SR10 million) to buy equipment for the university hospital. The donation will boost medical education in the university. It will also enhance treatment facilities for the poor in Egypt and abroad. Over 20,000 students from 94 countries are on the rolls of the university. (SPA)
