TOKYO, 8 May — A symposium on Saudi-Japanese Relations opened here at the Arab-Islamic Institute in Tokyo yesterday. President of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Muhammad ibn Saad Al-Salim attended the inauguration. Saudi Ambassador to Japan Muhammad Bashir Kurdi, while speaking to the participants of the symposium, commended the progress in the Saudi-Japanese relations, especially in the field of culture. The first session of the symposium, in which a number of academicians and specialists are participating, will begin today.
