Dr. Madhat dies at 100

JEDDAH, 19 May — Dr. Madhat Sheikh Al-Ardh, who was the personal physician of King Abdul Aziz from 1346H until his death, died yesterday at the age of 100, a Royal Court announcement said. Madhat had held different posts including minister of state, ambassador to France, Spain, Libya and Switzerland and the Kingdom’s representative at the United Nations. “He was an example in dedication and sincerity in the service of the king and the nation,” the Royal Court said. Funeral prayers for Madhat will be held at Imam Turki ibn Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh today after Dhuhr prayers.
