Asir kids stage cultural program

ABHA, 23 May  — Children’s patriotic songs, fancy dress and a poetry session by visiting and local poets marked a program held in honor of the Consul General Syed Akbaruddin during his visit to the Asir region recently. Poets Anees, Farid and Shams from Lucknow rendered their poems. The consul general in his address assured the community of all assistance and urged them to update their information through its website. Aqeel Jamil, general secretary of the Asir Indian Association, which organized the event at Trident Hotel Khamis Mushayt, welcomed the guests. Others who spoke were Dr. Velumorgan, G.V. Rao and Riaz Ahmad.
