MUDNEB, 23 May — Security officers in Mudneb have arrested a teenage driver who escaped after running over two expatriate workers in the Salehiya area.
Capt. Salem Abdullah Al-Shoalan, police director in Mudneb, said the incident took place on Thursday adjacent to a patrol station. The two expatriate workers, an Indian and a Bangladeshi, were crossing the road when they were knocked down by the vehicle. “One of them died on the spot while the other died in hospital on Monday,” he said. Police arrested the 17-year-old driver two days after the incident.
Meanwhile, an Egyptian student, 14, died in a similar hit-and-run case in Rafha, northern Saudi Arabia. Police said the student was killed due to the recklessness of a teenager who was driving a GMC vehicle.
