JEDDAH, 29 May — Kenya Airways, which has announced the relaunch of its flights between Jeddah and Nairobi, has offered an “ultimate” Kenyan safari package for SR1,999. The package includes a return Jeddah-Nairobi-Jeddah economy fare, two nights/three days accommodation (twin sharing basis) at the Mara Serena Lodge inclusive of all meals, four game drives each of three hour duration, transfers, game park entrance fees, fixed departures, etc. The offer is valid until June 27. “In fact the magnificent Masai Mara, described as the world’s most reputed wildlife reserve known for its large population of lions, cheetahs and wild elephants, beckons you,” Muhammad Asif Ali, country manager of the airline, stated at the relaunch reception hosted at La sani restaurant on Friday. Safari experiences for four days would cost SR2,099 and for seven days SR4,500, he said, adding that the upcoming June-August winter period was the best to travel to Kenya. Patrick Mullei, station manager of the airline, who conducted the proceedings, said Kenya Airways discontinued its flights to Jeddah from April 1 this year and would now relaunch them on June 17. A Boeing 737-300 would operate weekly two flights every Wednesday and Sunday, departing from Jeddah at 1.40 a.m. and arriving in Nairobi at 5.40 a.m.
