JEDDAH, 3 June — Industry and Electricity Minister Dr. Hashem Yamani will sign an agreement with a French company tomorrow to carry out the second phase of an electricity plant in Shuaiba at a cost of SR1.3 billion. This was announced by Dr. Bakr Khushaim, director general of the Saudi Electric Company in the Western Province. He also revealed the company’s plan to commission three new power stations in Jeddah this month built at a cost of SR300 million. The first unit of the Shuaiba power project will be commissioned within three weeks, according to Khushaim.
