RIYADH, 15 January — Prince Ahmad ibn Salman, chairman of the board of directors of Saudi Research & Marketing Group, has appointed Dr. Suleiman ibn Omar Al-Samahi as deputy editor-in-chief of Al-Eqtisadiah business daily and Abdul Rahman Al-Jammaz as deputy editor-in-chief of Arriyadiah sports newspaper.
"Dr. Al-Samahi and Mr. Al-Jammaz are among the most outstanding and well-qualified media and administrative personnel," a company statement said.
According to the statement, Al-Samahi has held a number of academic and administrative jobs and important posts in the economic, scientific and media fields as well. "His most recent job was as professor of management and strategic planning at the Institute of Public Administration," the statment added.
He has been supervising the opinion and issues pages in Al-Eqtisadiah for the past year.
Also according to the statement, Al-Jammaz has specialized in sports journalism and worked as the head of the sports section at Al-Jazirah daily newspaper and the evening daily Al-Masaeyya before moving a year ago to Arriyadiah as its managing editor.
