ABHA, 15 June  — A rare species of snakes has been threatening the lives of people and cattle in a mountain village with a population of 10,000 people in the Asir province for the last several weeks. A villager, whose 20 cows died of snake-bites, said he killed 10 snakes in less than two weeks. The problem can be solved by using poisonous pesticides, said an official of the Agricultural and Water Department in the region. (AN)
