Boy falls to death from hotel room

JEDDAH, 27 June — An Egyptian boy fell to his death from a fifth-story room in a hotel in downtown Jeddah recently. Five-year-old Ahmad was with his mother who works as a teacher in the Kingdom. The Egyptian family was preparing to leave the hotel for the airport to take a flight home when the accident occurred. The boy fell down when he climbed on to the window of the hotel room to watch the traffic below. His parents were reportedly carrying their luggage down to the lobby at the time of the accident. Pedestrians present at the scene rushed him to a nearby hospital but the boy succumbed to his injuries. (AN)
