JEDDAH, 1 August — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, yesterday received messages from Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. The messages were handed to the Saudi leaders by Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk Shara. Meanwhile, Prince Abdullah conferred new ranks on senior National Guard officers Lt. Gen. Abdul Aziz Shalhoub and Lt. Gen. Bandar Al-Harbi. (SPA)
