DAMMAM, 11 August — The court of grievances ordered the reappointment of a Saudi female teacher after she was removed from her job by the Presidency of Girls Education due to recurrent absences. The court overruled the PGE action after learning that the teacher had genuine reasons for taking leave. The teacher, who was appointed in Baha, was suffering from a chronic disease and had to consult doctors at King Fahd University Hospital in Alkhobar. She had presented medical reports to the school. But, her lawyer said, one morning the school authorities gave her the termination letter anyway.
