JEDDAH, 21 August — The closing ceremony of a summer training program for medical students at the Saudi German Hospital (SGH) auditorium took place yesterday, with over 100 medical students in attendance. They were drawn from the Kingdom’s three leading universities: King Saud, King Abdul Aziz and King Khaled.

The SGH introduced the training program in 1996.

Future projects organized by the SGH include the Kingdom’s first private medical college and a research center, both in the Asir region. Both will become operational within three years.

“The group’s mission is to be the leader in the health care sector in the Middle East and Africa regions,” SGH Group President Sobhi Batterjee said at a prize-giving ceremony.
