Internet, health seminar held

JEDDAH, 2 October - Saudi Kerala Pharmacists Forum held an "Internet and health" seminar at the King Fahd Hospital's Research and Postgraduate Study Center auditorium on Friday. O.P. Aggarwal, consul at the Consulate General of India, was the chief guest.

Dr. Maarof Haj Mohideen, secretary-general of the Saudi Arabian chapter of Internet Society, in his presentation on Internet and health informed about the various sites available for those in the medical profession in general and pharmacists in particular to update and enhance their knowledge and information. Dr. Thyagarajan of spoke on "Joint pain - precautions and remedies." Dr. Shahnaz spoke on the gynecological problems and their treatment.

The chief patron of the forum Wandoor Aboobacker said that one of the main objectives of the organization was to provide knowledge of new trends in the medical science. Forum President Abdul Latheef Malayil reviewed the activities of the organization. Hanifa Parakallil, secretary of the forum, gave the vote of thanks.
