JEDDAH, 13 November — Delegates from Muslim countries met here over the last two days to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation among their countries in science, technology and human resource development. The meetings were hosted by the Islamic Development Bank. Former Indonesian President Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie chaired the meeting, which sought to lay the foundations for stronger cooperation among member countries through an international forum for the support of science and technology and human resource development. According to Habibie, who chairs the Habibie Center in Jakarta, a major impediment facing inter-Islamic cooperation is the lack of available data.
