Jeddah, 16 November — Al-Ahadal Establishment and Nick Suing of Libby’s Hot Line notched the top awards on the 18th week of the BBG Tuesday Night League organized by the Brotherhood Bowling Group under the chairmanship of the indefatigable Arnold C. Alday here at the Jeddah Bowling Center.

Al-Ahadal snatched the Team of the Week award after earning the highest points (72.5) at the expense of Power Strikers. The quartet of Ramis Ayoub, Zaldy Farinas, Tariq Al Twairib and Talal Al Twairib submitted the total of 798 for 13.5 points, 889 equivalent to 20 points and 820 pins for 18 points. Their series of 2507 earned 21 rank points.

Nick Suing bagged the top honors in the individual category when he bombarded the lanes with series of strikes and submitted a total of 742 pins including handicap. He seared the lanes with 8 solid strikes on the final set (256) that fortified his 206 at the start and 223 at the penultimate. His handicap is 21 pins per game.

Hashim Guinomla (255), Nonie Yap (231), Sid Lapena (187) and team captain Arnold Alday (198) of the second runner Al Alamiah Insektos were voracious at the beginning, immediately munched 871 pins and earned 22 points.

The quartet, however, failed to maintain the heat of their steam on the remaining sets, scored 11 points on the second game (795) and 15 on the final match (807). They collected 19 rank points for posting a 3-game series of 2473 and submitted 67 to the table.

The “cargo specialists” and frontrunner SkyFreight Forwarders remained on the forefront when they bagged 70 points after snatching 22 big points on the final game. Perfect record-holder Rene Santiago accelerated with 10 strikes and a spare on the 8th frame for a whooping 279. With the assists of Fred Monzon, Edu Toledo and by the veteran Cris Villavelez, SkyFreight posted a 3-game series of 2530 and snatched 22 rank points.

Outstanding Bowler of the Week Nick Suing powered Libby’s Hot Line in collecting 68 points.

Although the team commenced at a slow pace (8 points), Suing, Joey Salvador, Lino Taquina and Jimboy Almoro put up their incredible teamwork and unleashed solid hits.

The Falcon quartet of team manager Ed Labuac, Bonnie Garcia, Ding Abaygar and team captain Danny Bautista past the foursome of PICPA-PRO by half point (61.5-61) to collect the prize for the team of the week award.

In accordance with the existing rules, Al Ahadal Establishment, SkyFreight Forwarders, Libby’s Hot Line and Al Alamiah are no longer beneficiaries of the prize.

PICPA was left behind in a photo finish mainly caused by the low output at the beginning. The team scored merely four points (737) when Gil Martos met walls of splits and failed to balance his swing.

Abudawood Trading played lack-luster games during the week, traded 24 points only and it caused them to slide down to the 6th place.

Aces Nap Patayan, Dante Rivero, Odjie Sagcal and team captain Rally Zamora propelled Sarawat to improve their standing on the table, from the 6th to the 4th after earning 57 points.

Membership in the BBG Elite Bowlers Club is distinctly exclusive only to bowlers who have submitted five scratch scores of not less than 250 pins throughout the league. By far, only Hashim Guinomla has been officially confirmed and the first member of the BBG Elite Club in this conference. This week, he again submitted 225, his 6th entry card.

Several bowlers have already sent their registration to the BBG Elite Club but their membership will only be confirmed after submitting the full requirement.

Ver Cayago was the first bowler to register at a score of 258. Fred Mangondato of Otra Cosa was the second bowler (255) and Fred Manriza was the third at 264.
