Track Enforcer emerge Team of the Week

RIYADH, 30 November — The Track Enforcer team coached by Raul Medina displayed devastating forms to capture the coveted Team of the week title on the 22nd week of the STBC Sunday Family Bowling League at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center. The league is organized by the STBC under the chairmanship of Abe Asuncion.

Sharing bowling spotlight with the Track Enforcer team was Abe Abulencia who emerged as the Bowler of the Week honoree. Abulencia submitted a four-game series handicap of 840 and a game high of 235 in the first game, followed by 194, 191 and 156.

The unstoppable Track Enforcer team with no mercy humiliated the star-studded PNB Bankeros Atbp by collecting 32 big points against 14 registered by the Bankeros. Millette Honculada was unstoppable as she powered the Track Enforcer team by posting a remarkable four game series of 839. Honculada was given a splendid support from her coach, Raul Medina who came-in next to her by pumping-in a series of 806. Providing team effort to Honculada and Medina came through the good games of Reden “lover boy” Tulabut who toppled a series of 780 in four outings. The energetic Egai Asuncion dazzled to score a series of 764 in four games. Rolly Amis contributed 415 series in three outings while Eymard Dimayuga scored 386 pinfalls in three matches. An overall total team of 3990 points were posted by the Track Enforcer keglers.

300 perfect score holders, Elmer Penoso, Vicky Vitug, Jene Canlas and Efren “Gapo Boy” Castro led the PNB Bankeros by tallying a separate four-game series of 766, 765, 763 and 730, respectively. Bernie Sarmiento added a series of 553 in two games while Jun Evangelista rolled 167 in one game. The PNB collected overall total team output of 3744 pinfalls.

The Controllers squad recorded an impressive 25-17 victory over the Sabbnet and corning limelight in the Controllers team was the bowler of the week holder Abe Abulencia who toppled a series of 840. The veteran Rico Feria sizzled to score a series of 820 in four outings. Arcie Consolacion, a 300 perfect holder contributed a series of 777. Prima Abulencia and Romy Liggayu downed a separate series of 764 and 760.

The experienced Santi Herrera of the Sabbnet was at the forefront with a series of 806. Rey Dela and Ian Choco followed Herrera by contributing a series of 753 and 705. Willie “financier” Pamilaran sealed a series of 575 in three games and Eden Bergonio downed 328 series in two games. The Sabbnet compiled overall total team output of 3736.

Other matches: Megavolts bt. Philippine Embassy (23-12), Stinger bt. Inevitable (19-7), Cuadro bt. Power Grip (19- 1), RB Laneking bt. Barkada (14-12).

Current conference record holders: Individual: high game scratch and high game handicap, Glenn Espiritu, ABB Tribe (268, 277), high series scratch, Efren Castro (873) and high series handicap, Sam Bejar (910). Team: high game scratch, ABB Tribe (1011), high game handicap, ABB Tribe (1107), high series scratch, Cuadro (3788) and high series handicap, Cuadro (4184).

Meanwhile, the prestigious OFW Worldwide Balikbayan Yuletide Annual Bowling Tournament hosted by the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah (FTBJ) and sponsored by the De Guzman Group of Companies (SkyFreight Forwarders) is all set to start from Dec. 27. The venue of the games is the SM City Bowling Centre located at the SM Annex Building, North Edsa, West Avenue, Quezon City, Philippines. Registration time will start at 7:00 a.m. till 9:00 a.m. Registration fee is PHP2,500 inclusive of balikbayan souvenir T-shirt and lunch.
