Ranao group to elect new officers, plans ‘Olympics’

JEDDAH, 1 December — The Ranao Professionals Association will elect its officers on Monday.

A press statement by the civic and professional group of Filipino Muslims said the election will be held at the IPSJ, starting at 10 p.m. A committee chaired by Clary Macaraya is in charge of the exercise. The members are Farouk Lomangco and Alex Yusoph.

Important matters will also be discussed after the elections, said the statement.

After the election, participants in the forthcoming Mini-Olympics of the Ranao Divers Club will also meet in the same place to set the ground rules games.

Club president Bobby Mapandi said the games will be held on the Muslim month of Shawwal.

Many RPA members are also leaders of the Ranao Divers Club.

Accredited by the Philippine Consulate General, the RPA was organized to undertake programs geared toward the professional enhancement of its members. It also strives to initiate programs aimed at promoting Islamic awareness among its members.
