Luzvimin, Vision 2, Braganza impress

RIYADH, 7 December — On the 6th week of the Skyfreight Forwarders/OFWBR “Pabongahan” Inter-Province Bowling League, the fancied Luzvimin Pin Busters, Vision 2 team keglers and the veteran and experienced Yuli Braganza dazzled to corner separate awards at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center.

The Luzvimin Pin Busters keglers were the second team who got the most number of points by garnering 16 points against the default team, the Unicap Pampanga to emerge as the team of the week holder. Supposedly, the team of the week award should be given to the Pangasinan Strikers but as per the rules, a team could win the award in four times in the first round. The Pangasinan got a total of 20 points over their rival, the Opnel who got 6 points. Nevertheless, the Pangasinan Strikers did not go home empty-handed as one of their veteran players, Yuli Braganza romped-away the bowler of the week title. For his feat, Braganza will receive a 20 kgs. Skyfreight seafreight cargo voucher through the courtesy of Jimmy Hugo, the Skyfreight branch manager.

Sharing glory with the Luzvimin Pin Busters and Braganza were the keglers of the Vision 2 captained by Alex Bandoy who posted a brilliant 15-7 victory over the Calabarzon. Topscoring in the Vision 2 were the trios of Arman Craig, Bandoy and Romy Aldama who toppled a separate four game series of 789, 731 and 704, respectively. Edu Quizon and Remy Pantaleon contributed a series of 393 and 318 in two games. Bobby Dajulan of the Calabarzon led by posting a series of 751 in four games and coming-in next were Joel Alegre (691), Ely Baraquiel (661) and Jolly dela Torre (655). Noel Llubrera toppled 349 series in two games.

It was the duo of Bher del Rosario and Fred Zacarias who lifted the Luzvimin Pin Busters outstanding win over the Unicap Pampanga. Del Rosario and Zacarias rolled a separate four game series of 776 and 739. Splendid support were extended by fellow members Ed Dalisay (687), Malco Muyco (490), Mel delos Santos (467) and Dennis Almoda (310).

Aside from Yuli Braganza who sizzled in the undisputed league leader and the defending champion, the Pangasinan Strikers were Joey Maningas (763), Phol Grepo (758), Pep Maghinay (720) and Pat Raz (715). The Pangasinan rolled a total team output of 3709 (958, 1045, 903, 863), a total team output that sandbagged the Opnel squad.

Submitting the best four game series scores in the Opnel team captained by Larry Mondoy are Mannex dela Torre and Jimmy Medina who toppled 637 and 633, respectively. Larry Mondoy scored a series of 560 in three matches. Arnel Crizaldo, Atoy Malubay and Reden Tulabut produced a two game series of 375, 353 and 336.

The Laguna Strikers mentored by Rolly Manalang recorded an impressive 14-4 victory against the Metro Five Stars of Bashal Al-Khalaj. Manalang, capitalizing on the average games of his players submitted total team output of 3326 with Can Encilla and Marvin Arocena topscored with a separate three game series of 596 and 540. Dante “cheeney” Prado followed by carding a series of 494 in three games.

Jomarie de Luna, Joe Concepcion, Boy Galang and Romy Matic carded a series of 383, 342, 326 and 322 in two games and Manalang downed a two game series of 319.

Jun Ego of the Metro Five Stars sparkled a four game series of 714 to be on top. Freddie Aquino, Glenn Espiritu and Edwin Batham scored a separate series of 649, 633, and 629 in four outings. Khaled Seftawi and Nolie Medrano added a two game series of 318 and 310.

The MLICB ABB Mixed Stars burned the lanes to humble the Pampanga Dragons (12-5) and leading scorers in the ABB Mixed Stars are Gerry Signey (680) and Larry Baleros (659). Jun Bago hammered a series of 659 in four sets while Ramon Perez and Atoi Ramos shot a series of 546 and 528 in three outings. Louie Abundo, Mon Teodoro and Rollie Navales pocketed a series of 341, 327 and 305 in two games.

Rene Dimapilis and Saud Egil led in the Pampanga Dragons by tallying a separate four game series of 718 and 717, respectively. Team captain, Roger Bautista sandbagged 681 points while Boy Catu and Rey Lansang tallied a series of 674 and 641. The Pampanga Dragons collected total team output of 3139 pinfalls.

The Bicol Express – Besa II engineered by Rizal Dellosa snatched 15 points against the bye team. Ferdie Ramos flew high to be at helm by posting a four game series of 717. Ed Sesperes, Toffee San Jose and Dick Segovia were next to Ramos with a separate series of 586, 561 and 521 in three games. Rollie Cleofe scored 316 in two games while Henry Sonias and Roland dela Cruz toppled an identical series of 305 in two games.
