MAKKAH, 8 December — The King Fahd Haj Research Institute in Makkah has conducted a study on the prospect of using cable cars to transport pilgrims from the Haram Mosque to the Mahbes Al-Jinn area near Mina and the Kudai parking area. According to the study, cable cars are able to conduct more than seven million trips both ways annually. Investors will get a turnover of 10 to 12 percent on their investments if they charge SR3 per trip, and 6 to 7 percent if the charge is SR2. (SPA)
