Speeding car knocks down cop

JEDDAH, 10 January — A policeman was run over by a car while inspecting a road accident in Jubail Industrial City, Okaz newspaper reported yesterday. Sgt. Yahya Al-Malki was trying to keep two people arguing over the cause of an accident off the middle of the road when a speeding car hit him causing multiple fractures to his left leg. The driver said the accident was not deliberate. He said he lost control of the car because the road was wet with rainwater.
