RIYADH, 14 January — Lt. Col. Abdul Rahman Al-Moqbil, director of the Traffic Department in Riyadh, has warned joy riders of stern action — including detention — according to Al-Jazirah newspaper. He appealed to guardians of schoolchildren to monitor their kids’ activities after school, particularly during the exam period, and not to allow the children to wander in the streets. Riyadh Governor Prince Salman has ordered deployment of more patrol teams on the roads to regulate the flow of traffic in order to help students reach school in time for their exams.
