Fahd, Abdullah offer condolences

RIYADH, 26 January — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, yesterday sent messages of condolences to Dr. Khaled ibn Muhammad ibn Jubair and his brothers on the death of their father Muhammad ibn Jubair, former Shoura Council president. The crown prince visited Jubair’s family and said: "Jubair’s death was a big loss for the Saudis as well as the Islamic world." Meanwhile, Riyadh Governor Prince Salman, accompanied by Prince Sultan ibn Salman, secretary-general of the Supreme Commission for Tourism, visited Jubair’s sons at their house to convey their condolences. Jubair, 76, died in Riyadh on Thursday following a heart attack. (SPA)
