Relief supplies to Sri Lanka ordered

RIYADH, 5 February — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd has directed the authorities to send emergency relief supplies to Sri Lanka to alleviate the suffering of the country’s drought victims. The first shipment of Saudi supplies will leave the Kingdom for Colombo on Thursday. Meanwhile, King Fahd issued orders to host 1,000 pilgrims from Africa, Asia and South America as his guests for this year’s Haj. During the past five years, the king had hosted 6,650 pilgrims from Asia, America and Europe. (SPA)
