50 female beggars rounded up

MINA, 21 February — The Anti-Begging Department rounded up 50 female beggars on Tuesday near Al-Rahma Mount in Arafat. Ninety-five percent of them were of African and Asian origin, and five percent Saudi. A top official stated that a 35-member team from his department had been deployed and assigned to areas and districts where beggars were found.The public had been urged to report the presence of beggars in their areas on telephone 560-2009.
