DAMMAM, 24 February — Police arrested Arab News photographer Imran Haider while he was photographing an abattoir here. Police also seized exposed films from him. Haider was forced to stop taking photographs by two sons of the abattoir owner. He was taken to the Dammam police station where he produced his press card and explained his motive of taking the pictures. Yet he was asked to give an undertaking that he would not take photographs of the abattoir in future, which was refused by both Haider and reporter Miteb Al-Badeen who accompanied him.
