JEDDAH, 14 April — Haji Husein Alireza & Co. Ltd. (HHA), which has been newly appointed as the Aston Martin dealer for Saudi Arabia, launched Aston Martin luxury cars at a ceremony held at Laylaty Hall here last night. The models introduced included V12 Vanquish and DB7 Vantage.
Ali H. Alireza, director and general manager of HHA, said: “The new partnership represents the coming together in the Kingdom of two of the oldest automotive companies in the world, and car users and drivers will benefit from our combined experience of 183 years in the automobile business.”
He later told reporters that while some Aston Martin trainers had visited the Kingdom to share their expertise with local technicians, “some of our own service managers and technicians have been to Aston Martin in Britain for training. Our facilities are now ready to receive both new and existing Aston Martin users.
We’re keen to have the opportunity to show the level of service and support that Aston Martin owners truly expect. Also, service centers in the three main regions of the Kingdom are now fully equipped to receive and serve all Aston Martin vehicles.”
Stefan Spruck, Aston Martin’s executive operations manager for the Middle East, Asia-Pacific/Overseas, said the Oxfordshire-based company was now going through a strong growth period as it experienced excellent market share gains as well as preparing to address new market segments in the sports luxury range.
Replying to questions, Spruck said Aston Martin now had an annual turnover of 1,500 units. “Last year, we built 1,500 units and we increased the number of our dealers worldwide from 65 to 140 dealers. The UK is its biggest market, followed by the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is the largest and most important market in this part of the world for us,” he added.
Aston Martin had always enjoyed strong owner loyalty, he said, adding: “We’re very much interested in the Kingdom and the rest of the region and together with HHA hope to meet the various requirements of local users.”
