RIYADH, 19 April — In the middle of the season, all RTTL teams have finished the 5th round. The results showed that teams who performed well from the beginning to get good results are on top of their divisions.
Those teams are KFSH1 in Division One, ANB/Al Rumaih in Division Two, Vinnell Arabia in Division Three, Group of New Breed in Division Four, Hot Shots Team in Division Five and KAMCTC5 in Division Six.
The last results were real challenge to settle the competition mid season teams ranking. In Division One, KAMCTC/Vinnell beat Al Yamama (47-38) as they won 5 from 7. Only Ebreo and Navidad from KAMC/Vin lost their singles to Velasco and Ziauddin (6-8) and (1-8), other good matches for KAMC/Vin, Leis/Malinao beat Ziauddin/Lucardie (8-3), Balint/Malinao beat Casey/Chlouk (8-7) tie break (7-5) and De Leon/Rodriguez beat Campbell/Smith (8-3).
In Division Two, ANB/Al Rumaih tied with KAMC1 (42-42) in a close match, Amara beat Drequito (8-2), Petersen beat Onias (8-6), Amara/Costumbrado beat Briones/Yapsangco (8-3) and Petersen/Lintag beat Onias/Pacleb (8-7). The difference of score came when Ebrada/Catiis lost to Briones/Drequito (6-8) & Lintag/Rabago lost to Onias/Pacleb (3-8) and Costumbrado/Celes lost badly to Yapsangco/Pacleb (1-8). This match advanced KAMC1 to get a real challenge to ANB/Al Rumaih for the 1st place. As KAMC1 advanced more when they beat Cordoba (47-28). KAMC1 won 5 games from seven with high score, Camara beat Kornacki (8-2), Petersen beat Ky (8-0), Petersen/Lintag beat Ky/Kornacki (8-2). The 2nd round KAMC1 beat again Cordoba (55-27). Last year Spring 2001 Cordoba Team was a solid and strong team and champion of Division Two. They did not join last Season Fall 2001. Everyone was expecting that they have easy chance to keep the title at their compound again.
In Division Four, Mother Team beat KAMC3 (47-40). Also, Grafiks Intíl. beat HOI/T in Division 5 (51-27).
The RTTL Spring Season 2002 are sponsored by Sports Ghornatah and Coca-Cola. This season will end on May 16 with an awarding ceremony which will be held at Najd Compound. At the prize distribution there will be 320 trophies for the champion, Runner-up teams and players and special awards.
