RIYADH, 26 April — A new facility for providing audiotext service on phone will be launched here on Monday.
The new service from Twasal, a Saudi firm, marks a new milestone in the audiotext industry by employing the state-of-the-art technology in telecommunications. It also uses information technology to address the cultural, religious and other needs of the Saudi society.
A spokesman for Twasal told Arab News that the carrier of the new facility will be STC. Subscribers can request the activation of the service by dialing up customer services on 902 or 907.
The subscriber can control the use of this service on his or her phone by entering a special code through STC, which has made the service available at a concessional rate.
