RIYADH, 24 May — The 15th inter-commercial dart tournament dubbed as Power Horse Dart Challenge 2002 officially ended at the Cues Recreation Center in Batha. This prestigious event was organized by the Expat Darter of Saudi Arabia (EDSA), a prime association of dart enthusiasts based in the capital city and sponsored by Power Horse Energy Drink, the number one energy drink in the Kingdom via the full support of Ahmed Al-Haroon, the country manager. It is hosted by Cues Recreation Center, the official venue of dart tournaments in Riyadh headed by Mohammed Al Subaei.
The awarding ceremony highlighted a brief introduction of individuals who are behind the organizing and sponsorship of this league by EDSA Chairman Flor Almoite followed by the awarding of team and individual trophies and cash prizes for the winners.
Ace Darters of Flor Almoite received the championship tropy in Class A Division, Saudi Ericsson of Phil Balasan for First Runner-up, Conquerors of Rod Viray for 2nd Runner-up, Spice Boys of Edwin Canales- 3rd runner-up, Wakaray of Peter Maranan- 4th runner-up and Break Point of Rene Caronan got 5th runner-up.
In Class B Division, Destroyer of Vic del Agua and Carlos Guardiana was awarded the championship trophy, Wild Bulls of Alex Suyo- 1st runner-up, First Flight of Ray Tirad- 2nd runner-up and Sporstmanship award for Boy Laroya’s Commander Darters.
The MVP award was given to Manny Barroga who defeated fellow Ace teammate Banny Alagar in a highly contested singles showdown via a 501 mode of play. Dart enthusiasts will see action anew on June 14 to be held at Cues Recreation Centea.
