JEDDAH, 12 June — Prince Abdullah, the regent, discussed the situation in the Middle East with US President George W. Bush during a telephone conversation yesterday, the official SPA news agency reported. Bush telephoned Abdullah to exchange views on “developments in the Middle East and (other) issues of common concern,” SPA said. A US official said yesterday that Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal will hold talks in Washington this week on the Middle East situation with Secretary of State Colin Powell. The prince is scheduled to meet with Powell on Friday at the State Department. (SPA)
