JEDDAH, 27 June — The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers chapter in the Western Region (PSME-WRSA) will conduct a one-day training on basic fiberglass fabrication as part of professional enhancement and livelihood program for its members.
Slated on July 5 at Harry Ramsden’s Restaurant, the training features two sessions. The morning session will be devoted to the introduction, theory and application of fiberglass; in the afternoon, all trainees will participate in hands-on project where they will apply what they have learned. Registration starts 8:30 a.m.
“The workshop is open to all PSME members and guests and is aimed at encouraging them not only to improve and maximize the potentials of fiberglass technology in this fast evolving global environment, but also to develop their entrepreneurial acumen in the field of fiberglass fabrication,” said Junn U. Berbie, the chapter president.
Nap Cepriaso, a director of the group and overall chairman of the training project, said that the lecturer is an expert in the field, and will be assisted by a skilled technician who will demonstrate actual techniques in fiberglass fabrication.
Cepriaso said the training is limited to 50 participants, and applicants will be accepted on a first-com-first-served basis.
